TrackCanary helps website owners and agencies check visible tracking and lead-action signals on public web pages.
Information we process
When you use TrackCanary, we may process:
- the website URL you submit for a scan;
- technical scan results generated from publicly accessible pages;
- basic server logs such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and requested URLs;
- contact information you voluntarily submit, such as your email address, if you request monitoring, a pilot, support, or follow-up;
- product usage analytics if you consent to analytics cookies.
How we use this information
We use this information to:
- run website scans and show tracking health results;
- generate shareable reports;
- provide monitoring or pilot follow-up when requested;
- improve the TrackCanary product, performance, and reliability;
- protect the service from abuse, spam, and security issues;
- understand which public pages are useful, if analytics consent is granted.
Website scans
TrackCanary checks visible browser-side signals on public web pages. Scan results may include technical observations about forms, click-to-contact links, scripts, pixels, tags, and visible lead actions.
TrackCanary does not prove final attribution, CRM delivery, server-side tracking, ad-platform reporting accuracy, or legal compliance. Manual verification may still be recommended.
Analytics
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to measure aggregate product usage, such as page views and traffic sources.
If you choose Essential only, analytics cookies are not used.
We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, or behavioral advertising tags unless this policy is updated and a separate consent choice is provided.
Sharing information
We do not sell personal data.
We may use service providers to operate TrackCanary, such as hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, and security providers. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services.
Data retention
We keep information only for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, improve the product, comply with legal obligations, or handle support and business records.
Your choices
You can choose whether to allow analytics cookies. You can also request access, correction, or deletion of personal information you have provided, subject to legal and operational limits.
